You can't post in the announcements that tell you what build. Notes 3 and 4 of the peacock deal with build choices.SIG:I'm trying to teach you to fish, not give you a fish. I am new to this forum and was not sure where to find the information I needed. Please refrain from posting replies that attempt to put other down or to make one self seem superior. I get a lot of good info from this site so a thank you for all that contribute.Thank you Darkshadow, I got DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/22/09) micro - build 12548M NEWD Eko to work great and now have 6 routers running the same build. I hav'nt gotten any complaints from anybody so thumbs up to DD-WRT. Next project is to get POE to work on them all.MurrkfDD-WRT GuruJoined: 22 Sep 2008Posts: 12680Posted: Mon Dec 21, 2009 13:06 Post subject:cmaas wrote:Scan was a figure of speach.

I simply pointed you to the specific sections you needed, which apparently is what you needed to find the info.SIG:I'm trying to teach you to fish, not give you a fish. I went ahead and updated based on the information found. After doing that I went on a search to find updated firmware and found what I thought was it and it wouldnt even let me connect. I was able to TFTP the previous firmware on there and get it back up, but now I am wondering which is the newest stable firmware?
Do you think the firmware could be causing my connection issues? I figured I would give firmware a try before getting a new router. If the firmware doesnt fix, does anyone have any recommendations?
I dont need anything super fancy, but also dont want to go spend hundreds.Sponsor. I tried the one from and that one wouldnt let me even connect. Could ge because thats V11(or 1.1) but I had to revert back. I believe I also tried the 10709.

Do you think the firmware would fix the connection issues or thats another problem?JayfaasDD-WRT NoviceJoined: 05 Jan 2018Posts: 11Posted: Fri Jan 05, 2018 4:58 Post subject:I should also point out that this is only a 4 port router, but we currently have a computer and DVD player attached via ethernet cable, and 3 phones, the Directv box, now another laptop, and 2 ipads. Do you think perhaps its just overloaded and causing drops? Its not like we are on all of them loaded up all the time but I cant explain the frequent connection drops that just started occurring. It doesnt affect the wired connections so I dont know.jwh7DD-WRT GuruJoined: 25 Oct 2013Posts: 2374Location: IndyPosted: Fri Jan 05, 2018 12:54 Post subject:Jayfaas wrote:I currently have the micro generic v24 since it works. Could be because thats V11(or 1.1) but I had to revert back. I believe I also tried the 10709.You currently have which micro build?
Wrt54g2 Firmware Update
Did you reset after flashing and manually set up? Also, read the Peacock Announcement. That v1.1 folder is for a much different router using an Atheros SoC.Ref:You're lucky the v1.1 is a 4MB router or you'd now have a lovely little brick. The is a 2MB router that can only use the micro build. That is an old router for that many devices, but luckily it has 16MB RAM despite only 2MB flash (Like the GSv5+). It uses a BCM5354 which is locked and can't overclock.but at least does run 240 MHz. Hopefully that means its not older enough to be plagued with voltage regulator capacitors issues. What are the IP Max Ports, currently used, and Timeouts set to?
